Situated on the fringe of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park and yet just 1.5 miles from the seaside resort of Whitby, Ivy Cottage in the village of Ruswarp offers an ideal base to explore the beautiful scenery and many attractions that North Yorkshire holds.

The cottage, originally the stables for the Ruswarp Hall built in 1603, was converted to a dwelling more than a century ago and holds a grade 2 listed status. Inside you will find it comfortable, well equipped and furnished to a high standard in a warm and welcoming traditional manor.

Outside at the front there is a cottage style garden and at the rear a south facing lawn garden with patio area and barbeque. The latter being completely enclosed with access only through the cottage making it secure and private.

Ground floor: entrance hall with winding stairs, sitting room with open Georgian style fire, well equipped dining kitchen with character ceiling beams and ornamental inglenook fireplace.

First floor: 3 bedrooms - 2 double and 1 with 4ft bed. Bathroom includes bath and seperate walk in shower enclosure.

Facilities: Electric cooker, microwave, fridge, kettle, toaster. Washer, iron/ironing board. 37" 1080p LCD TV with Free Sat HD recorder, Blu-Ray/DVD player, CD Player, books, games. 2 hairdryers. Bed linen provided. Towels not available. Gas central heating. Electricity and gas included in the rent. Smoke and carbon monoxide alarms. Garden furniture and barbecue. Non smokers only please. We regret there is no storage for cycles. Sorry no pets. On street parking. 
 
NB: The garden has a raised patio area and the landing has a low handrail so young children will need careful supervision.
